This year we had 406 projects with 562 participants from 53 schools all over Pretoria in the Expo that took place on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 August 2010 at the University of Pretoria's Sports Centre. We would like to thank the National Expo Council, Eskom, the University of Pretoria and all the other sponsors listed in the programme for your support to host this years’ Northern Gauteng Expo for Young Scientists. Die sukses van Expo vir Jong Wetenskaplikes kan toegeskryf word aan die visie, toegewydheid en opofferings van deelnemers, ouers, onderwysers en beoordelaars. Thanks to all the adjudicators from the academia and private sector that voluntary and diligently assess, guide and mentor aspirant scientists, engineers and career professionals.
None of this would be possible without the dedication and hard work of the committee members. The fact that you share your time and knowledge voluntarily, demonstrate your love for the youth of our country and their future!
The adjudicators operate independently from the Expo Committee and are autonomous in their judgment. The decision of the judges is final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into concerning the Expo results.
In addition, the National Expo Council prescribes quotas for participation in the Eskom National Expo for Young Scientists, by which the Northern Gauteng Expo Committee is bound. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated.
